~ I discovered a new respect for engineers and what they do ~

~ I am having a blast! I love going into the classrooms and now that the kids are getting to know me, they actually get excited when they hear that I am coming. I’ve been to every class in the school except for one Gr. 5 class and the JK/SK classes. We’re planning the Gr. 5 class for next month and the JK/SKs for when the weather in warmer so we can go outside!  ~

~ I am a grade 5 teacher at Richmond Rose PS who has the privilege of hosting a fabulous engineer in my class. Please have a look at the PP he has given to my kids in class and the amount of detail he has put in to prepare my kids for the junior bridge building challenge on this Saturday. He is coming tomorrow after school to help my students practice after school hours. :) Just wanted to point out how much I appreciate having him in my class. His approach to the PEO in class is commendable!!  My kids are fortunate to have him around. ~

~ I am very pleased at the opportunity to work within my community. It is the single most rewarding experience that I have outside of my home. ~

~ Now I understand why we need a rough copy of diagrams and explanations. You need to plan out the way to make it the best product ever – just like engineers do. ~

~ The last couple weeks the EIR has been working overtime after school and during school with our Robotics teams … we don’t know what we would have done without him. ~

~ Francois’ visit with our classroom was both informative and inventive, not to mention fun. He helped us to realize the incredible job opportunities in the science field and the real life situations that can be applied to science. I feel extremely grateful to have been given this unique opportunity where we had the chance to learn from a professional in the field. I now believe I have a better understanding of hydraulics, formulas and I have a much more keen interest in the engineering field. ~

~ I can relate better to both clients and students. Both technical and non-technical ways of explaining things have become easier. ~
